To sustain this vital mission, the center hosts its signature annual charity golf tournament, “Swing for Hope.” Traditionally held each autumn at Chattanooga’s scenic Black Creek Club, the tournament brings together local businesses, golfers, and advocates for a competitive multi-division scramble. Complete with a community lunch and dinner, the event serves as a premier fundraising vehicle, with all proceeds directly financing the medical case management and specialized care that allows Boehm Center patients to thrive.
The tournament will be held on August 24 at Black Creek and will feature a new format this year. It is still a two-person team scramble but with three divisions of net and gross winners: 1) male/female, 2) female/female, and 3) male/male.
The cost is $500 per twosome and includes round of golf with cart, lunch, beverages and cocktails. There will be fabulous prizes for both gross and net winners for each flight, as well as an award ceremony and silent auction. Registration is at 9:15 a.m., and tee time is at 10:30 a.m.
All proceeds benefit the children and families of the Boehm Birth Defects Center.
