Though Dr. Lisa Edwards will be greatly missed, we’re thrilled to welcome a familiar face as our school’s head.
Mr. Troy Green is ready to step up to the plate, and I’m sure he’ll appreciate the baseball nod. I have no doubt that Mr. Green will lead our school with great care. After chatting with him about his passion for education and his decision to become principal, he shared some valuable insights.
“After spending the first 12 years of my professional career in the transportation industry, I made the life-changing decision to become an educator. Over the past 23 years, it has been an incredible honor to serve students, families, and staff in education, and I am especially excited to begin a new chapter as principal of Fairyland Elementary School for the 2026–27 school year.
“Fairyland is a special place to me. Having already served at Fairyland Elementary for a total of seven years, I understand firsthand what makes this school so unique. Fairyland is much more than a school building - it is truly the heart of our community. The relationships between students, staff, families, and the community create an environment where children are supported, encouraged, and inspired every day.”
“My philosophy of education is simple: love kids, work with parents, and help my teammates each day. I believe the foundation of a successful school is built on relationships, trust, and high expectations. When students know the adults around them believe in them and are working together for their success, they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.”
“As principal, my vision is for Fairyland Elementary to continue being a place where students thrive, relationships matter, and excellence is the standard. I want every child to feel seen, valued, challenged, and inspired. I also want teachers and staff to feel supported and empowered in their work, while families remain proud of and connected to the Fairyland School community.”
“I firmly believe that when we work together and prioritize relationships, we create an environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed at a high level - every day. ”
“Fairyland Elementary has a strong tradition, and I am excited, grateful, and deeply honored for the opportunity to serve this wonderful school community as its next principal.”
We are excited as this next chapter for Fairyland School takes place. We hope everyone is enjoying their summer and we will see you back in August!
