Don't Miss Commons Camp This Summer!
It is that time of year again, and parents are making plans for their children’s summers. Commons Camp on Lookout Mountain is a great option. Going strong since the late 1940s, this camp is always a hit with kids.
Held at the Commons pavilion and on the property, Commons Camp starts June 2 and runs through July 18; it’s open five days a week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Scott Shell is camp director and works along with yours truly to keep your children safe while having fun! Kids will enjoy crafts, games, playground time, and several varieties of ball games. Any child from age 6 and up is welcome.
Commons Camp lets kids be kids - with guidance and safety being the No. 1 concern. Every child is watched at all times.
Children are encouraged to bring their lunch and drink, but there is also a Coke machine and bottled water for them to purchase. Pizza is offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for $1 a slice, which is naturally very popular. The Mountain Munchery’s Stephanie Wharton and Starr Hoover will be selling snacks and lunch items at camp on Mondays and Wednesdays, which is also very popular!
The price is $275 for the whole season; or $20 a day; or $60 a week. And, you can register the day you come, making that part hassle free. We hope to see you some this summer. Camp really is a blast!
