Show director Allan Leford and choreographer David Wood are very excited about the cast, as is the Playhouse board, orchestra conductor Sandy Morris and accompanist Michael Huseman.
Tim Forsythe will play Caractacus Potts; Shandra Burnett will play Truly Scrumptious; Paul Hendricks will play Grandpa Potts; Colette Smith will play Jemima Potts; Zachery Huseman will play Jeremy Potts; Lee Abelson will play Lord Scrumptious; Bob Roza will play the Child Catcher; and Kristin Sharp will play the Vulgarian Diva. These are all seasoned veterans of the Playhouse and other local stages. Also, there is a world of other talented friends and neighbors who will play the other parts in this character-rich musical, which was adapted from the story by Ian Fleming, creator of James Bond.
The show will take place at the Playhouse Amphitheater on the corner of Rolling Way and James Boulevard. The box office opens at 6 p.m. for those who wish to place lawn chairs early. Tickets are sold on evenings of performances only (no advanced sales) and are $5 for children and $15 for adults. Please bring cash or checks only.
Parking is not permitted on Rolling Way because this street is used by emergency vehicles when going out on calls. However, patrons with handicaps may remove the orange cones on Rolling Way and drive into the Playhouse grounds for parking. Please replace the orange cones after you drive through.
Concessions are for sale on site, and there will be portable toilets available as well.
