Ashley Keck recently joined the city of Lookout Mountain, Ga., team and will support the billing and payment process for sewer related services.
Effective August 1, North West Utility District, the city’s billing and payment partner, will discontinue offering support services to local municipalities. We are most fortunate that the termination of services has given us the opportunity to hire Ashley, who has been handling these responsibilities since 2013 as an employee of the North West Utility District.
Ashley and husband, Trevor, both graduated from Hixson High School and grew up in the Falling Water community. Their enjoyment of outdoor activities, from rock climbing to hiking, will mean this family of five will soon be making weekend trips up our mountain to enjoy all it has to offer.
Now, down to business. Ashley requests residents to open the August bill for details surrounding new enhancements to sewer billing and payment processes. More detail on these positive changes will be provided to residents by e-mail, but listed below is a brief overview of the upcoming changes:
Residents who enroll in automated bank draft/ACH by August 15th will receive a $25 credit on the September bill.
Residents will now be able to pay by credit or debit card, as well as electronic check, for no additional charge.
Paper checks can be dropped off at city hall during the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A drop box will also be installed in the near future.
Xpress Bill Pay has been added to the city website, lookoutmtnga.com, and is the portal to view statements, account history and make payments.
Don’t be shy. Stop by city hall on a Monday or Tuesday between 8:30 a.m. and – 4 p.m. and meet Ashley. If you have questions regarding your bill, you can also give her a call at (706) 820-1586, ext. 12) or shoot her an e-mail at [email protected].
