Join staff at 8:30 a.m. at Cravens House for a volunteer trail project on the Mountain Beautiful Trail. All tools, supplies and gloves will be provided by the park, along with lunch. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own water bottle. National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands Americans enjoy, and all 408 national parks will offer free entrance on September 26. More than 185,000 volunteers are expected to help restore lands at approximately 2,200 sites used for recreation, education, exercise and connecting with nature.
