The 2017 event introduces new characters: Peter Pan; Wendy Darling Captain Hook and Mr. Smee alongside previous fairytale favorites such as Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother; Prince Charming; Jack (and the Beanstalk); The Evil Queen; and Hansel and Gretel! Also new this year on weekends, there is an interactive storytime with Goldilocks and the Three Bears!
Children can come dressed for the occasion, or purchase a variety of prince, princess and knight packages onsite. They can also train to be a knight by scaling a castle wall, sword fighting and learning basic archery, followed by a special ceremony with Queen Guinevere.
One night is still available for a special Tea with Alice and the White Rabbit on Monday, April 10, at 4:30 p.m. Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother, Snow White and other characters are also coming! Rock City is proud to partner with EPFAC Neuroblastoma Foundation during Fairytale Nights. Wendy and Jonathan Ransom began the foundation in 2006 to honor the memory of their two-year-old daughter, Emily. She passed away after a heroic four-month battle with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a deadly pediatric cancer. The goal of EPFAC is to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for Neuroblastoma, while helping with the immediate needs of children and their families fighting this disease.
