Established in 1994, Lula Lake Land Trust has become a leader in conservation and has protected 12,000 acres. To celebrate 25 wonderful years of hard work and preservation, LLLT is thrilled to announce Timber Roots Music Festival at the LLLT Core Preserve. This evening will celebrate the accomplishments of the land trust and allow the public to witness the natural beauty of Lula Lake … with live music!

Timber Roots Music Festival will take place on Saturday, August 10, with gracious support from Riverview Foundation. This musical event of the summer will feature headliner Aaron Lee Tasjan, who has received accolades from the New York Times, NPR, and Rolling Stone as “the wittiest, most offbeat, brilliant” Americana musician writing and singing songs today. Other acts performing throughout the music festival include The Kernal, a country artist earmarked as “need to know” by Rolling Stone; Caleb and the Gents, a band with ties to Chattanooga and deemed “10 pounds of fun in a 5-pound sack and a rollicking good time” by The Chattanooga Pulse; The Afternooners, local band with sounds reminiscent of indie band Vampire Weekend with a dash of Jack Johnson; and Spinster, a local trio of sisters whose collective voice demands your attention.

“We’re excited to invite the public to our special anniversary celebration,” says Cody Roney, LLLT executive director. “Timber Roots will herald a new era for Lula Lake, with special announcements for where our nonprofit envisions itself in the years to come.”

Timber Roots Music Festival will kick off with the first band performing at 3 p.m. and last through the night until 11 p.m. Food trucks and restaurant venders will be onsite, along with an outdoor bar, hiking, raffle prizes, and more! Pull up a piece of grass, toss down a blanket, and enjoy Lula Lake with your friends and family. Tickets range from general admission to VIP and camping groups. More information and ticket purchasing is available online at bit.ly/timberroots. When you buy a ticket, you’re supporting Lula Lake Land Trust’s 25 years of dedication and 12,000 acres of conservation.
