Lookout Mountain School (LMS) would like to invite the entire mountain community to its sixth annual Night Out for Lookout presented by The Lamp Post Group. This exciting event will take place on Friday, February 26 at the Fairyland Club. The festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. and include a night of great food, cocktails, dancing, and a live and silent auction you don’t want to miss!
This year’s co-chairs, Ginger Birnbaum and Maggie Estes, are working hard, along with their team of volunteers, to ensure a fabulous night for all. They have secured some amazing live auction items, including a vacation at an Italian Villa, Tennessee Titans tickets and a painting by Christy Davenport. These items and more will be presented by none other than mountain resident and emcee extraordinaire, Mr. Henry Glascock!
If that weren’t entertainment enough, there will be live music by The Power Players Show Band. Additionally, the silent auction will contain items from an array of beloved Chattanooga area businesses. Categories will include Health and Wellness, Dining and Retail, Camps and Events, Art and Photography and Vacations and Getaways. Plan to shop early, and stay for the fun!
Tickets will be available starting February 1, and can be purchased through the event website or at the school office during regular school hours. Until February 5, early bird tickets will cost $50, after which they will be $60. New to the ticket line-up this year is the VIP ticket at $100. These ticket holders will receive a premium Night Out experience, which includes one extra drink ticket, the ability to bid on sign-up parties 24 hours in advance of the event and one opportunity to play a game of Heads or Tails at the party. There are also special grandparent tickets that will be available for $50. We hope to see many faces from around the mountain!
Funds raised by this event help ensure the longevity of a robust related arts program for the students of Lookout Mountain School, along with new technology, and continued low student/teacher ratios. The benefits of such assets are a major contributing factor to LMS being named a Tennessee Reward School for the fourth year in a row. Once again, our students had TCAP scores in the top 5 percent of all Tennessee schools. As a community, that is not only something to be proud of, but a cause worth supporting!
Be sure to mark your calendars for Friday, February 26, and invite your neighbors and friends to one of the best parties on the mountain. We look forward to seeing you there and thank you in advance for believing in Lookout Mountain School! After all, great schools are the result of an even greater community!
