Under the terms of the Orders of the Tennessee Supreme Court, the Municipal Court of the Town of Lookout Mountain, Tennessee will remain open consistent with its obligation to mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19. In particular, all in-person cases are suspended until Thursday, April 30, 2020.
It is emphasized that the Court is open and will remain open under all circumstances, subject to the exceptions ordered by the Tennessee Supreme Court. The Court will continue to work with local law enforcement and other Town officials to ensure that, to the extent possible, the Court remains accessible to carry out essential functions and time-sensitive proceedings.
Deadlines for submitting proof of completion of defensive driving courses and proof of completion of community service are suspended until Thursday, April 30, 2020. Please send all submissions by email or fax to the Clerk’s office, as noted below.
To limit contact with the public, the Court Clerk’s Office is suspending any in-person operations but will be available via telephone, fax and email during regular business hours.
