“We need to demonstrate community support in our petition,” Ms. Tringale said, adding that this community support was not evident in the 2015 petition.
Lula Lake Academy will be a public high school serving Walker and Dade counties, and according to the proposed plan, will open with 120 students and three grades – sixth, seventh and eighth. Each year another grade will be added. Upon approval of the charter petition, the state of Georgia will fund academic resources, faculty and staff.
Obviously, there are many ways to support this proposed high school, from participating in fundraising events to volunteering to address envelopes. But one way is simply completing an online survey comprised of six questions, which only takes a minute. Ms. Tringale urges everyone to forward the petition to at least one person. Click here to complete the survey when you get a second. The deadline is May 15.
